Fixing and replacing

We can undertake just about every kind of vehicle repair, fit new parts when old parts are worn out or beyond repair, and replace essential fluids when necessary. We repair or replace worn or old parts such as:

• Air conditioning (the gas inside your air conditioning system can slowly leak out over time, but we can repair any minor leaks and refill the system for you)
• Batteries (these can eventually develop internal short-circuits so they won’t hold a charge for long, or wear out and become so weak that your vehicle becomes difficult to start, or won’t start at all)
• Brake pads (for disc brakes and drum brakes – every time you brake, the brake pads wear down a little, until eventually there isn’t enough material left for safe, efficient braking)
• Clutches (these gradually wear out until it becomes difficult to change gear, or even drive up hills or carry heavy loads because the clutch slips)
• Diesel Particulate Filters (also called DPFs – diesel engines produce small particles that can cause air pollution, so diesel vehicles are fitted with filters to remove the particles from the exhaust gases, but these filters can become clogged with particles and then need cleaning (purging) or even replacement)
• Exhausts (ordinary exhaust systems gradually rust away over the years, and eventually holes can appear leaking dangerous gases and making your vehicle noisy – we can weld small holes, replace your exhaust, or even fit a stainless steel one that will last a lot longer)
• Shock absorbers (these do not last forever, and sometimes need replacing so the suspension system works properly again)
• Tyres (we can repair punctures or fit new tyres, after which we do wheel balancing and alignment)
